![]() What you’ll do in the next few hours is a template for the rest of the game. ![]() So I'd say an exclusive cutscene in Leon B outweight a somewhat identical scene from Leon A/Claire A with Marvin (both characters gearing up).īeside, that's just one argument to support Leon B.The Police Station is where Resident Evil 2 really starts. So the change is implied in Leon A, whereas in Leon B it's explicit. Leon changing isn't part (nor the point) of the scene. With both character we get a scene with Marvin where they're finishing gearing up. This sequence mirror Claire's where she adjust her weapons and stuff in Claire A. He changed off screen, the uniform was never given to him during the cutscene, he just appears in the uniform, finishing gearing up. ![]() Nothing happens in the locker room with Claire. Leon even has an additional one-liner about it. There's a zoom in on the uniform in the locker, there's a fade to black, then you see him finishing up with the uniform completely gone from the locker and now worn on him. There's an entirely exclusive sequence -JUST- for his change. That's hardly comparable to what Leon B offers. He is shown fixing his uniform as he says something along the lines of "Ok, I'm ready" in A Leon changes during the conversation with Marvin after he saves you from the zombie. I just happens to believe that a specific combination feels better. So while 2nd story presents itself as something in parralel, in second, it's to be taken lightly.Īnd in the end, like others said, both options (Leon A/Claire B and vice versa) kinda work. The two stories don't blend as well as the original game. There are events in 2nd story that invalidate the 1st story's existence and vice versa. HOWEVER, the way the story was presented is a bit odd. In all, I've completed all 4 scenarios and I always feel Claire A/Leon B to be the most natural route. X sequences the 2nd story offers feel more organic with the character already strongly dealing with it in both of his stories (Leon), especially in the lab. So since he's going to be using that door anyway, better make two birds one stone and use the story that open said hallway right at the beginning.Īnd finally, the extra Mr. Claire B has access to this hallway too, but it's a dead end for her, whereas with Leon it gets linked to the basement in both of his stories, giving a better purpose to this area for him. He's the only character to actually open the door to the RPD's basement at the end of the hallway behind the shutter. Leon also has exclusive extra sequences and cutscenes involving Mr. The uniform in the locker even disappear upon changing, whereas with Claire B it's just. The room with the locker in the courtyard feels like it was made for Leon. There's even a locker with the uniform especially for that. She also arrives suppossedly first at the lab (the sample cabinet is already open for both of Leon's story).Īlso Leon B is the only one to feature a small sequence of Leon -actually- changing into his RPD uniform (whereas in Leon A he just magically shift). It felt definitely better as the 1st scenario on that front. Claire A is the only scenario in which Claire's search for Chris is referenced in a cutscene (with Marvin), whereas as Claire B you only find answers through some documents left behind and Claire barely acknowledge them.
